What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Your client IP address, the page you requested, your referrer (if any), and your browser User-Agent string are recorded in Apache HTTPD logs (LogFormat vhost_combined) which are archived for 15 days on the server, and up to 90 days in server backups. This information is used for analyzing popularity of pages and posts on the site. It is never shared with any other party. No other information about your visit is stored.

You are encouraged to use Tor Browser Bundle or similar anonymization network software to browse the site if you are uncomfortable with this.

There are no user logins or accounts, and there is no client-side tracking.

How we protect your data

The logs mentioned in the previous section exist on the webserver and in private system backups, both on New Zealand servers. They are never copied anywhere else, nor shared with anyone else.
